A while back I was exploring what I learned in Design school and how it can be applied to life. I have a new found desire to complete all this ideas I have been holding on to and let them finally be completed and let out in to the world - or discarded if that is their fate.

These are the 7 principals of Interior Alchemy and their relationship to the Architectre and Interior Design process.

There is a process called PROGRAMMING where you learn everything you can about your project. How many? How much space? What do you want to accomplish? What are the requirements?  what is the deadline? Budget? Preferences?

In life this is the foundations of SELF-DISCOVERY.

Explorations in Light (Radiance in the Everyday)

September 19, 2017 in imagination, journal prompts

radiance ˈreɪdɪəns/

n.1. light or great joy or love as emitted or reflected by something or someone (apparent in expression or presence).  "the radiance within always shines + never dies" 2. a glowing quality. synonyms: light, shining, brightness, brilliance, luminosity, glow, sparkle, splendid, magnificence, brillance

Being a witness to RADIANCE in the everyday reminds me to live life fully! Below is an excercise in documenting the finds through the camera lens + working with one of my favourite muses - the flower, Bougainvillea glabra or Paper Fower.

this morning light is always a blessing to witness + as it flows through its subject, the flower in this case, we are able to witness more of the facets + qualities of both.

The B. glabra is an evergreen that enjoys full sunlight, is drought + heat tolerant. The flowers are actually small + white, the colour comes from the bracts (modified leaves). These flowering vines represent PROTECTION + the flower essence provides an infusion on JOY + HOPE (both energies which help protect the mind, body + soul in a variety of ways).

Creative Prompt: how can you capture radiance in tour home or in a visual or written creation?

Be Wonderful
